Day 1: Off-the-Beaten-Path Temples

The journey begins with an early departure to Banteay Srei, a jewel of Khmer architecture known for its exquisite pink sandstone carvings. Moving deeper into the Angkor complex, explore the vast and atmospheric Preah Khan, once a royal residence and Buddhist monastery. After a lunch break near the temples, continue to Neak Pean, an isolated temple resting on a serene lake, believed to have once offered healing waters. The afternoon’s discoveries include the elegantly structured East Mebon, last by Pre Rup, the quincunx temple represents the holy  mount Meru.

Day 2: Iconic Angkor – Sunrise & Legends

As dawn breaks, witness the breathtaking sunrise over Angkor Wat, where golden light casts dramatic shadows over its towering spires. The exploration continues at Ta Prohm, a temple locked in a timeless embrace with nature, its ancient walls intertwined with towering tree roots. The final day is a dive into Cambodia’s earliest temples, visiting Preah Ko and Bakong, architectural forerunners of the Angkor era. A stroll through the Rolous Local Market brings an authentic slice of Cambodian daily life, filled with aromatic spices, fresh produce, and lively exchanges. The journey ends with a visit to Kampong Pluk, a floating village where houses rise on towering stilts over the waters of Tonle Sap Lake, offering a window into the remarkable adaptability of its residents.
